How it works

Five steps from signup to earning rebates. Nothing hidden.

Step 1

If your employer offers HealthReturns, you can enroll in a few minutes. You'll see exactly what data is used and what isn't before you agree to anything.

  • Completely voluntary
  • No penalties for skipping
  • Clear explanation of what's shared
Step 2

Connect a data source

Link a device you already use, like a Garmin, Oura, WHOOP, or Fitbit. If you don't have one, you can enter data manually.

  • Works with most fitness devices
  • Apple Health supported
  • Manual entry always available
Step 3

Capture your baseline

Your first month establishes where you're starting from. There's no judgment here; this is just the reference point for measuring progress.

  • 30-day baseline period
  • Your starting point is private
  • No penalties for where you begin
Step 4

Make progress, earn rebates

Improve from your baseline, or maintain already-healthy metrics. Either path earns you a higher rebate on your health coverage.

  • Level 1: Participation (~5%)
  • Level 2: Improvement (~15%)
  • Level 3: Excellence (~30%)
Step 5

Check in quarterly

Every 90 days, your level is recalculated. You'll always know where you stand and what it would take to move up.

  • Evaluated every 90 days
  • No surprise changes
  • Clear next steps
